The book presents the whole world's aphids, classified into subfamilies and tribes (i.e. today, 600 valid genera and 4700 valid species). Numerous new unpublished data are justified. The bibliography (1275 references later than 1972) covers the papers on taxonomy and most significant publications, mainly on cycles, host plants and geographic distribution. This catalogue constitutes reference book for all scientists concerned by the fundamental and applied aspects related to these severe pests of cultivated plants. It has its place in all institutes and universities concerned by animal biology, agronomy and plant protection.
