At the end of the 1990s, Obion created, along with his friend from the Beaux Arts school of Brest, the fanzine "Le Violon Dingue." These first little steps in the world of publishing allowed him to bring his work before the eyes of people like Jean-Claude Fournier, Régis Loisel and Patrice Pellerin... In 2003, he illustrated the first volume of "Le déserteur" (Delcourt), written by Kris, his friend from "Le Violon Dingue." In 2007, he created "Vilebrequin" (Casterman) with Arnaud Le Gouëfflec, an award-winning book telling the story of a brilliant thief. Then, in 2008, he took over the adventures of "Donjon Crépuscule" (Delcourt), an extravagant heroic-fantasy saga, with Lewis Trondheim and Joann Sfar. In 2010, he illustrated with Gally and two others a collection of humoristic love notes for adult audiences, "Love blog" (Delcourt), which got its start on a blog. In 2013, Obion began contributing to the collaborative series "L'Atelier Mastodonte" (Dupuis) in the journal "Spirou." In 2015, "Soucoupes" (Glénat), his second collaboration with Arnaud Le Gouëfflec, was published and won a couple of awards that year. In 2016, during a residence in the Gallo-Roman Museum of Lyon, Obion created around thirty pages that were exhibited and then published under the title "Obion au musée" (Editions Lapin). His most recent work is "Mamma Mia!" (Dupuis; Europe Comics in English, 2019), alongside Lewis Trondheim.
