Dmitri Katsman was born in Moscow in 1980. During the fall of Soviet Union, his parents immigrated to Israel, where he spent his teen years and later served in the IDF. Right after the military service, Dmitri moved to Canada, where he lives to this day. Originally written in Russian, "Owner of Destiny" is his first story to be published and fully translated into English .

Dmitri Katsman est né à Moscou en 1980. Lors de la chute de l’Union soviétique, ses parents ont immigré en Israël, où il a passé ses années d’adolescence et plus tard servi dans l’armée israélienne. Juste après son service militaire, il s’est installé au Canada, où il vit actuellement. Ecrit en russe, « Une nuit à Gaza » est son premier récit à être intégralement traduit en français.
