Résumé

Twenty researchers, working in various parts of the world – Central Africa, India, Latin America, the Levant, North America, and Western Europe – have contributed to this collective tribute to Norman H. Anderson, the creator of a theory of human judgment known as Information Integration Theory. Each contributor recalls, often humorously, his or her first encounter with Norman Anderson (or his theory), as well as the way in which a scientific collaboration with him subsequently developed. Each contributor then presents a summary of a study or set of studies that seemed particularly illustrative of what this theory can contribute to understanding the complexities of human judgment when exercised in the great diversity of everyday situations.
