Rod Gavalan is the account executive for the Transcendor Sales Corporation, makers of appliances. His job, given him by Transcendor president Graydon Downs: to land the Value Garrison chain. For Transcendor, it could mean $15,000,000 more in sales; for Rod Gavalan, it could mean wealth and independence. The single key to landing the account is Stan Garrison, whom a private report said is much given to "masochistic fantasies." Gavalan's Dutch contact, the blonde and beautiful Mistress Hedwig, would be perfect for the job, Rod figured. What he had not figured was that Hedwig had other plans of her own--plans involving him and a strange, grotesque creature named "Stumpi."
