Author lived for 19 years in India, but is resident in England now. Age over 80, and the book is a collection of mostly autobiographical incidents initially triggered by the death of her younger sister before her 60th birthday. Over time views on personal and world issues were added, but are not presented in any strict chronological order, but more by personal remembrances and reminiscences.
